Here we are. I've decided to go with a new tactic. I'll be doing links instead of a playlist. So here we go!
Top 10 Songs for August
1) She Never Cried in Front of Me [Toby Keith]
How was I supposed to know
She was slowly lettin’ go
If I was puttin’ her through hell
Hell - I couldn’t tell
She could’ve given me a sign
And opened up my eyes
How was I supposed to see
She never cried in front of me
Here's a new one from Toby Keith. Very good song. A little on the rock side, but still really good. I enjoy it extensively. Even though I get it stuck in my head every time I listen to it.
2) Everyday America [Sugarland]
Whoa, whoa, everybody's dreaming big
Whoa, whoa, but everybody's just getting by
That's how it goes in everyday America
A little town and a great big life
Jennifer Nettles is physically, the most beautiful woman in Country Music, and one of the best singers. How can you not love her songs?
3) Just Breathe (2 AM) [Anna Nalick]
Cause you can't jump the track, we're like cars on a cable,
And life's like an hourglass, glued to the table.
No one can find the rewind button, boys,
So cradle your head in your hands,
And breathe... just breathe,
Oh breathe, just breathe
This is one on the list of infinite songs that remind me of my sister. :/ It's a good song, though. Very insightful. I especially like the bridge of the song.
4) Blinded By The Light [Manfred Mann]
Blinded by the light,
revved up like a deuce,
another runner in the night
This song is catchy. 'Nuff Said.
5) As Long As Your Mine [Wicked; Idina Menzel and Norbert Leo Butz]
Just for this moment
As long as your mine
Come be how you want to
And see how bright we shine
I'm obsessed with Wicked. If you haven't figured that out already, then you are a sad person.
6) When Love Fades [Toby Keith]
Where do you run
Where do you hide
After a promise breaks
Who'll be the one
To say goodbye
And who'll be the one to stay
When love fades
Older Toby song. Back when he had his mullet. Very good song, but then..it's Toby Keith, right?
7) « Les limites » [Julien Doré ]
Et je ne rêve pas je sais quand j'arrêterai,
Je vais quitter paris,
Je sais après je vais payer pour ça
Oui je vais payer pour ça
Song in French is made of pure win.
8) Dream Walkin' [Toby Keith]
Dream walkin', pillow talkin'
She's callin' my name again
Day's breakin' I ain't wakin' up, I'm sleepin' in
I'm on a roll now, I gotta know how this dream ends
This can only be described as the most amazing song in the world.
9) Defying Gravity [Wicked; Stephanie J Block]
Tell them how I
Am defying gravity!
I'm flying high Defying gravity!
And soon I'll match them in renown
And nobody in all of Oz
No wizard that there is or was
Is ever gonna bring me down!
Instead of Idina Menzel, the original Elphaba, it's Stephanie J Block! I like her Defying Gravity more than Idina, methinks.
10) No Good Deed [Wicked; Idina Menzel]
No good deed goes unpunished
All helpful urges should be circumvented
No good deed goes unpunished
Sure, I meant well -Well, look at what well-meant did:
All right, enough - so be it
So be it, then:
Let all Oz be agreed
I'm wicked through and through
Since I can not succeed
Fiyero, saving you
I promise no good deed
Will I attempt to do again
Ever again
No good deed
Will I do again!
A Very emotional song. It's the emotional climax of the show. Wonderful, ain't it?
