Well, 5 months have past, and Eli hasn't seen one vision. It seems the anurism is actually out for good, which means, No More Visions. Well, minus the vision he described to his therapist, played by Sigourney Weaver, but that didn't really happen.

Anyway, so then, Nate Stone, Eli's brother, is going to see a patient, but as he enters the patient's room, he ends up in a different building entirely. And a crane falls on it. As he walks around, the viewers realize that it's NATE who has the vision, instead of Eli. Fascinating, huh? So, he goes to Eli and Eli wants to go to court to save the building, but Nate just gets angry and leaves.

Now, they go to Dr. Chen, and Nate 'rides the needle' as we call it. Basically, he gets acupuncture to see the full vision. This time, he's in the same building and sees Jordan walking down the stair-well and then a crane crashes into the bulding. So Jordan was in the stair well, but as the people are trying to evacuate people, they can't get TO the stairwell because it might collapse the remainder of the building, plus no one takes the stairwell. However, Jordan's wife decides to help Eli where a very emotional Taylor refused. So, they go to court, and FAIL. But then, Nate faints and is taken to the hospital, for a scan to see if he has the brain anurism.

Eli, just before this, got a call from someone who says he didn't have his liscense to practice law returned, and he checks the paper, to show that Sigourney signed it, only to find there was no signature at all. After seeing his brother in the hospital, Eli goes to Sigourney (we don't know the character's name) only to find her office has been empty for three months. Coincidentally, 3 months is how long Eli's been seeing Sigourney.

But as he goes into the empty office, there she appears as if nothing happens. She explains that she's "God's fiduciary" rather then the Big G himself as Eli suggested. She tells Eli that one of them has to do the work, and so one of them must have the anurism and visions. A very emotional Eli says that Nate has too much to live for, whereas he has nothing. He asks that he have the anurism instead of Nate. So, the angel, if you will, grants his wish. The same doctor with the funny name who did the surgery in the first place later explained to Eli that certain anurisms can grow back. Nate, surprise surprise, is found clean of any brain defect.

Frankly, I love how they bring God into this plot in a way, to 'guide' Eli with his visions. Sure, it may seem funny and strange, but no one really knows how God works, right? The Big Man is a very mysterious person...

I cannot wait for next weeks episode!!!

You have been activated.

Last Saturday, my brothers and I watched the movie Eagle Eye. Overall i give the movie 3 stars. I enjoyed the creative plot, which involved one of America's most prized possessions: their cell phones. The whole reasoning behind the cell phones, and the mysterious lady was really far-fetched and rather stupid, in my opinion. The worst part of the movie had to be the end, when the main character came back to life and the mysterious computer lady was killed with a metal stick.

October's Top Ten Songs

1) Drill Here, Drill Now. [Aaron Tippin]

-

Drill here, drill now

How ‘bout some oil from our own soil that belongs to us anyhow

No more debatin’ we’re tired of waitin’ everybody shout out loud

Drill here, drill now

-

This song is amazing because it's just. so. true. Aaron Tippin is really awesome; he has some awesome songs, I must say. If you like that unorthodox country, you'd like him. His voice is super twangy, which brings it a bluegrassy feel to it. It's really cool. But anyway, this song is basically about drilling in the USA instead of the millions of other country. Aaron Tippin! Huzzah!

~

~

~

2) I'm Just Talkin' Bout Tonight [Toby Keith]

-

Well, I'm not talkin bout locking down forever, baby.

That would be too demanding.

I'm just talkin bout two lonely people

who might reach a little understanding.

I'm not talkin bout knocking out heaven

with whether we're wrong or we're right.

I'm not talkin bout hooking up and hanging out.

I'm just talkin bout tonight.

-

Lol! These are one of those awesome country songs that are made solely as a joke. Brad Paisley, Trace Adkins, and Toby Keith are notorious for them, in my opinion. Sure, it's not good morals, but who cares? It's a joke. People joke with friends about ill-moralled jokes all the time, so what's the harm? It's just some entertaining fun and lyrics. The video is really funny too; it's got this one freak who's hitting on some girls and ends up trying to lick one of their ears, and another old guy who's tryin to impress this goth girl with magic tricks. xD Very awesome.

~

~

~

3) You ain't much Fun. [Toby Keith]

-

Now I'm feedin' the dog, sackin' the trash

It's honey do this, honey do that

I sobered up, and I got to thinkin'

Girl you ain't much fun since I quit drinkin'

-

Another horribly ill-moralled song, but still funny. Good tune, and funny lyrics. As I said previously, Toby Keith is notorious for good joked songs, he's also great at very serious ones. :D It's basically about how his girlfriend got him to quit drinking and he did and then had to do a whole bunch of housework and stuff. :P Toby Keith is awesome.

~

~
~

4) Wild One [Faith Hill]

-

She's a wild one

With an angel's face

She's a woman-child

In a state of grace

When she was 3 years old on her daddy's knee

He said you can be anything you want to be

She's a wild one

Runnin' free

-

I absolutely love this song. It reminds me forever of Mackenzie, my really old friend who now lives in Australia. This is my base for the main character's lover in the novel; a rebel! I also love it, because it has that old feel of Country; the '80s and '90s were some of the best songs ever. Amazing tune, Amazing Song.

~
~
~

5) Suds in the Bucket [Sara Evens]

-

Now her daddy's in the kitchen - starin' out the window

Scratchin' and a rackin' his brains

How could 18 years just up and walk away

Our little pony-tailed girl growed up to be a woman

Now she's gone in the blink of an eye

She left the suds in the bucket

And the clothes hangin' out on the line

-

Another classic. This song basically is telling that you can't fence time and you can't stop love. :D It's always good to hear one of these older songs on the radio, because it means they're still amazing and popular. I have to say, the older songs always have a uniqueness to them that just makes them better...

~
~
~

6) Who I am. [Jessica Andrews]

-

I am Rosemary's granddaughter

The spitting image of my father

And when the day is done my momma's still my biggest fan

Sometimes I'm clueless and I'm clumsy

But I've got friends that love me

And they know just where I stand

It's all a part of me

And that's who I am

-

This is a wonderful song that I love. It's nice and smooth, and is a very happy song that would make any dull day seem sunny and nice...even though I tend to think of the dull days nice and beautiful and wonderful and stuff. But I'm just an over-excessive optimist! :D Anyway, so this song I heard on the radio a few years ago, then last week it was on and I was like, OMG I LOVE THIS SONG, so I had to listen to it and it became on the top ten. The thing is, this girl is beautiful in a really weird way, it's hard to explain but her face is beautiful in a really creepy way in the video. :P It's because she looks like a little porceline doll. O.o

~
~
~

7) Love Me Dead [Ludo]

-

She moves through moonbeams slowly

She knows just how to hold me

And when her edges soften

Her body is my coffin

I know she drains me slowly

She wears me down to bones in bed

Must be the sign on my head

That says, oh...Love me dead! Love me dead!

-

LOL. Thats all I can really say for this song. It's hilarious to me, I must say. It's from an emo band, but it's catchy in the most obnoxious way. The singer, his motions in the video, kinda remind me of Wierd Al. This was shown in Theatre class by a student (showing a teacher. I was confused until i started to get into the story and i was soon able to predict some things that were going to happen. Stranger than fiction is indeed a movie with a plotline stranger than fiction. The whole idea behind the movie was incredulous but it worked. The ending would have been better if Harold had died as planned, but it added perfect, poetic irony that worked with the plot of the movie.

the double drive-in movie review

Yesterday, my friends, Breanna and Rachel, and I went to the drive-in.

Wall-e and the Dark Knight was playing.

From the first time i saw the commercials for wall-e, i decided that it would be a dumb movie and wasn't going to watch it. a movie with hardly any talking in it just wasn't my cup of tea. but i went to watch it anyway. i expected wall-e to be about a robot on mars, so i wasn't that excited about watching it, but the movie surprised me. One of my favorite films. it was a cute little robot love story, and it kept me laughing all the way through. very well thought out, and well done movie. also, the fat people were hilarious.

the dark knight. the first batman movie seemed stupid, so i never watched it. but i wanted to see this one. first off, heath ledger did an awesome job being the joker. [why so serious?] the joker was my favorite character. some of the more finer details of the movie i didn't understand, due to the fact that i didn;t watch the first batman movie or read the comics or whatever. overall, awesome, awesome movie.

two great movies for the price of one. that's what i call awesome.

Top 10 Songs for August

Here we are. It is in my top five favorite movies. Keath Ledger [sp?] was amazing in playing the Joker.
The Joker is suppost to be crazy, and Ledger did a great job being insane. He portrayed the personality of what you would expect the Joker to be and at points he creeped you out. He was goooood!

Two face also had a good part in the movie. It showed that even good people can be corrupted. I also enjoyed seeing him being turned into a villan.

Batman had some very good ideals behind him this movie. He figured out that Gotham didn't need him to be a hero, but it needed him to be a protector.

This was definately a movie that I will buy later on.

July’s Top Ten Songs

And here it is! He has some pretty cool songs! ^^

- - -

[4] No Good Deed (Idina Menzel; Wicked)

One question haunts and hurts
Too much, too much to mention:
Was I really seeking good
Or just seeking attention?
Is that all good deeds are
When looked at with an ice-cold eye?
If that's all good deeds are
Maybe that's the reason why

No good deed goes unpunished
All helpful urges should be circumvented
No good deed goes unpunished
Sure, I meant well -
Well, look at what well-meant did:

It's a song from the GREATEST Musical in the world! WICKED! This is my evil song. :) I listen to this whenever I'm in an evil dark side mood, and it's what I've based the story of my Dark Jedi character from SWG on.

- - -

[5] Good Time (Alan Jackson)

Shot of Tequila, beer on tap
Sweet southern woman set on my lap
G with an O, O with a D
T with an I and an M and an E
And a good time
Shhheww, good time
I've been workin' all week
And I'm tired and I don't wanna sleep
I wanna have fun
It's time for a good time

It's time for a good time with Alan Jackson! :D How can you not like Alan? This is a fun, catchy little song that I enjoy very much. It cheers me up when I'm in a bad mood.

- - -

[6] Life in a Northern Town (Sugarland/Little Big Town/Jake Owen)

Ah-heya ma ma ma, into the night-ahh
Hey-ah ma ma ma, hey-ay-ay-ay, ah
Life in a northern town
Ah hey ma ma ma ma

This is an interesting song, since we kind of live in the North. Well, northern US. Still, I can relate. :)

- - -

[7] Defying Gravity (Idina Menzel and Kristen Chenoweth; Wicked)

I'm through accepting limits
'Cuz someone says they're so
Some things I cannot change
But 'till I try, I'll never know
Too long I've been afraid of
Losing love - I guess I have lost
Well, if that's love
It comes at much too high a cost

I'd sooner buy
Defying gravity
Kiss me goodbye
I'm defying gravity
And you can't pull me down...

This is an empowering song! Also known as the greatest movie of all time!!!

The only bad part--the ONLY bad part--is when Bowen says 'That's one lesson you've never learned: Only expose your back to a corpse' and Einon responds with, 'YOU ARE A CORPSE, YOU JUST DON'T KNOW IT!'

Other then that, this movie is phenomenal. I love the storyline. It has an amazing cast: Sean Connery as the voice of Draco, Dennis Quaid as Bowen, Pete Postlethwaite as Brother Gilbert, and Dina Meyer as Kara. Good supporting cast too! But anyway.

Set in the 10th Century, a man (Bowen) teams up with the last dragon to remind the people of a long lost code of honor, and inspire them to fight for their freedom from a tyrannical king.
The young, sickly King Einon was wounded in a battle. In order for him to survive, he is healed by Draco, a dragon. Some years later, Bowen, a dragon slayer, encounters Draco. The two team up to form a traveling duo that perform an act, but the act is only known by themselves. Bowen supposedly "slays" Draco and then collects a reward from the town or village that he protects by killing the dragon who had been "terrorizing" them. From there, Bowen and Draco must save the entire kingdom from the rule of the now evil King Einon, who is part of Draco and Draco a part of him.

Alot of people don't like it because it's a Laurentiis Production, but you know what I say! I say balderdash and piffle! Never judge a movie by it's cover. It's got a good story, and awesome graphics for Draco, especially for 1996. :D

- - - - - - -

On an unrelated note, I've made a story about Dragonheart, called Dragonheart: The Reality?! Starring me and Distressed Fish. Read it here.

my favorite book of all time....

and yes....it could be considered a "girly" book.

Normally I can't read books more than once....... So, if I get any posts saying this movie was bad because of religious beliefs and you haven't even seen it, you can at the very least read this review. I can almost guarantee that that your opinion will change. Now, if it's just a movie that didn't interest you, fine. Cool. Whatever.

Okay. So, the movie is about a newscaster by the name of Bruce Nolan, (Jim Carrey) and basically all of the people at his work are jerks. He has low pay, gets the worst stories. In simplicity, he's a l-ay-hoo-sey-her. Iffin you get my reference. Now, he's angry cause he crashed, and thinks that God hates him and yells 'smite me, oh mighty smiter!' So, his pager gets a number that keeps happening. He gets annoyed, and throws it out, into traffic. When he goes out to his car, surprise surprise, it's still working after being ripped apart. So, since he lost his job for flipping off the camera on live TV, he called the number, which led to an address. He goes there, and steps in a deep puddle, soaking him to the knee. He gets annoyed. Goes inside. To find a Janitor, who tells him to go to Room 7 on the 7th floor. (7 days of creation, anyone?) Then the Janitor asks for help. Bruce, as a joke, says he'll do it on the 7th at 7. Bruce goes to the room, and sitting at the desk, is the Janitor, who introduces himself as God. (Morgan Freeman) Oh, and Bruce is having trouble with his girlfriend, Grace. (Jennifer Anistin) God reveals how he knows of Bruce's belief that God hates him, so God says 'You think you can do better, well here's your chance.'

Bruce goes out and over time, he finds out he has God's powers. So, like most people, he started with himself. He got his job back. A new car. He made himself anchor by humiliating the new Anchor, Evan Baxter. (Steve Carell) But, doing this causes him to lose the woman he loved. There was a catch to God's powers. He couldn't affect free will. He tried getting her back, even tried controlling her, but it never worked. But she prayed every night about Bruce. To him he became a pompous jerk.

In the end, he tried answering all prayers by carelessly answering 'yes' to all of them, and so about 50 people won the lottery and only got like...$17. So, they went on a rampage, and Bruce called out for God in his panic, and ended up back in the place, on the 7th at 7. The two had a chat, God took back his powers, and Bruce continued onward. So now, Bruce crashes his car again, and he falls in the middle of the road calling for God's help after hearing about his girl's broken heart. Suddenly a light glows, and Bruce gets happy, but is suddenly hit by a semi.

Now, he's in heaven with God, and they have a small chat. God asks him to pray, and Bruce simply asks that Grace becomes happy. So, God sent Bruce back to Earth, and he woke up in the hospital with Grace next to him. When he recovers, he and Grace get back together, and live happily ever after.

So, the moral of the story is: God gave Bruce his powers to teach him a lesson. Bruce didn't steal them, and it isn't making fun of God. If this didn't change your mind, go watch the movie. If you still think it is making fun of God, then you're just a stubborn person who really I have no time debating with. (Yes, I'm in a depressed/bad mood right now. Get over it. :D)

Evan Almighty. Some might say it's a sequel. But, it's more of a spin off. Evan Baxter is moving out of Buffalo, and into Washington DC! He's running for Congress! Yay!

I have to admit, I was a bit skeptical when I watched this, thinking 'how can God flood the world after he said he promised not to?' Well, read on. It gets better. No joke.

So, he gets a strange delivery from 'Alpha and Omega' which is a company. Sound familiar? Soon, he's visited by God, who asks him to build an Ark. He refuses, and leaves thinking this dude is craaaaaaazy. Soon, animals start following him. He grows a beard, and God gives him an outfit that if he doesn't wear, all of his clothes disappear when he leaves the house. As in all of them. Every scrap. I think God just did that as a Joke...why shouldn't God have a sense of humour anyway? He created humour after all. Anyway, so he finally gives in and starts building it, but eventually everyone ridicules him. EVERYONE. Even his wife (played by the chick who plays Lorelei on Gilmore Girls...don't ask how I know that.) and kids ditch him. While she's in a restaurant watching the news about her husband building an ark, she is talked to by a waiter, who just happens to be God, and tells her that family is everything. So, she decides to go and help. So, they all build an ark together, though the entire world is against them. Kinda sad, huh? Anyway, so they get it finished and the animals line in 2 by 2. So, there's a crowd, threatening to destroy it. And suddenly...

THE RAINS COME!

and then end about 10 seconds later. So, yeah. It was pretty much for nothing...until a dam breaks and causes several streets in Washington D.C to flood. So, the jerk-people all get in, and have a fun little Ark-ride down Main Street, ending at the Capital Building where the antagonist of the show, a senator, is accused of as a jerk and is ridiculed and fired. Yay!

All in all, it turns out to be a great movie as well. Great moral, and it brings a kind of...new understanding of the story of Noah. What he probably went through, and such. It was very well done.

So, that's my review. Yay.

Kingdom of Heaven

This movie was amazing. It is about the Muslums trying to take Jerusalem back from the Jews. It is amazing. It leaves you questioning the basics of Christian faith. In a good way.
One of the things that I thought was interesting is that whenever a Christian went into battle he would scream "God wills it!". Even when it was apparent when God wouldn't want it. I wonder how many times in today's world Christians are putting the stamp "God wills it!" on things we do to justify them.
Another thingis that the king of Jerusalem is a leper. He says that the Muslums say that he is condemed to a terrible eternity in hell because he is a lepor. He continues to say; if this is true, I consider it to be unfair. Are we Christians doing that too?

Happy Brithday

Happy Birthday to C.E. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

C.E.'s Top Ten Songs (June, 2008)

Yeah. One of Kenny's best, I must say. First heard this on the trip to Idaho, and instantly loved it. Seriously. How many songs in the world have 'I'd like to check you for ticks' as a lyric? Unique and fun and funky! Minus the funky part.

-

3) Tequila Makes her Clothes Fall Off [Joe Nichols]
She’ll start by kickin’ out of her shoes
Loose an earring in her drink
Leave her jacket in the bathroom stall
Drop a contact down the sink
Them pantyhose ain't gonna last too long
If the DJ puts Bon Jovi on
She might come home in a table cloth
Ya tequila makes her clothes fall off

The funny thing is, when you listen to this, you think it's his girlfriend. Well, it's not. It's about his grandmother, if you watch the movie, which makes this all the more enjoyable. :D Hehe, just listen. You'll laugh. I promise. And Bon Jovi is a real band, btw.

-

4) Beer for my Horses [Toby Keith/Willie Nelson]

Justice is the one thing you should always find
You got to saddle up your boys
You got to draw a hard line
When the gun smoke settles well sing a victory tune
We'll all meet back at the local saloon
We'll raise up our glasses against evil forces
Singing whiskey for my men, beer for my horses

Seriously, What is a Top 10 without Toby Keith? In this duet with Willie Nelson, they sing about Justice! JUSTICE!!! With an awesome Cowboy-Western feel, this song just makes me wanna listen to it all day. Good thing it's quick, right? :D Anyway, this is a song about the confusion of age, and just plain not caring. And being in Mexico. With Beer. In Mexico. Yay!

-

6) Size Matters (Somedays) [Joe Nichols]
Right now all she wants is a man
With a big ol' heart
Who can love her like nobody can
Big ol' kisses that go on and on
And never end
With a big ol' smile
He'll fill her world with laughter
Size matters, size matters

Catchy Song. I went into the movie thinking that it would be pretty sad compared to the others. I also thought that Shia Labeouf would ruin the movie series. I went in to the movie thinking that he was an even stevens actor NOT an Indiana Jones actor. In no way could, Shia Labeouf fill the shoes of Harrison Ford as Indy. [spoiler alert]

We i went into the movie, i knew Indy wouldn't give up his role yet, i also knew that Henry Jones was getting old, and they were going to set it up for the new character to take his place. [obviously]

I thought Harrison Ford did an okay job being old [even though he is old] and still being able to do things even people in their prime age can't imagine doing. good quote: [ how old are you? like 80?]

*The movie was definetely Indiana Jones. Most of the stunts and junk only Indiana Jones and other heros could pull off.

I loved how the movie brought in some of the loose ends of the other movies into this one.

such as miriam coming into the scene. I so wasn't expecting Mutt to be Indy's son until about 2 minutes before Miriam told Indy. Excellent plot twist. and so nicely worked into the plot.

The movie kept me on the edge of my seat until the last 15-30 minutes or so. The fast, action- packed movie was great addition to the Indiana Jones collection.

but the last 15-30 minutes of the movie was a disaster and completely ruined the movie.

Aliens? ......Aliens?

Dear George Lucas,

You are off your rocker!

George Lucas needs to get away from the whole "star wars" religion thing.

Aliens.?..... in an Indiana Jones movie?

Lucas what in the world were you thinking?

The movie was good until the aliens started speaking to the weird russian lady and the building started to collapse [in classic Indiana Jones style] and spin around, then the movie sucked until the aliens were good and gone.

but seriously....

ALIENS?

George Lucas, YOU ARE CRAZY!

thus, my brother and i have made up a new saying to measure levels of crazy:

Tom Cruise crazy or George Lucas crazy? : )

needless to say, i would probably give the movie

[four stars]

Cloverfield

Last night I watched Cloverdfield. It was a amazing movie. The way it was filmed was the big thing. The entire movie was shot by one camera from the viewpoint of a main character. I definitely recommend this movie. Watch it.
The directors of this movie took an interesting turn. They decided that the creature was not actually on a rampage, but a scared and clumsy baby monster. This adds a whole new twist to the movie that gives it a unique edge.
For those of you who haven't watched the movie, stop here.

One thing I like about it is that it is a tragedy. That is not that common in our movie culture of today. You left the movie sad, but also happy because you got a different piece of movie making genius.

Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull

This was a great movie. It kept the classic Indian Jones feel and brought in the new twist of Extra Terrestrials. The movie is about Indiana Jones trying to return this skull made entirely out of crystal. The story soon involves aliens and ufo's. Both of my siblings thought it ruined the movie, but I thought it made the movie. Maybe this is because I am a SciFi nerd, but still, it was a great movie.
My least favorite part of the movie was when the character got attacked by meat-eating ants. It wasn't because it was overly horrible, by because it was pointless and not original. They had this ant nest that came and just attacked them! It was weird. When the ants took someone down, they carried that person into their hive. It was pointless and wrong.

Introduction.

I do believe introductions are in order. :)

I am Concealed Eminence, and I am now a contributer to this blog! They moved the Island! Amazing! Anyway, I thought that There's No Place Like Home was an over all good episode. It had a way of using the supernatural aspects of the island to keep us hooked until the end of the episode. The thing I didn't like was that we partially new what was going to have to happen that episode because of the flash-forwards. It left off some of the suspense. I wonder how Ben gets from the cold of the machine room to the intense heat of the desert. We kinda expected Locke to be the one in the casket, but it was still a surprise anyway. I found it interesting that Dharma figure out how to time travel. Intriguing huh?

LOST SEASON FINALE!!!

LOST SEASON FINALE is tonight!

I am excited : )
